Frozen Desert Showdown - Sorbet

As the school year comes to an end, it's also the beginning of summer.
What's better than to have a cook off with frozen desert?
Our first battle was Sorbet
Luckily, after the class has voted, I won by one vote.
I probably just got lucky, but it gives me more motivation to make even better frozen desert for Round 2
For Sorbet, I chose to use Lychee
Though it was canned, you can still smell the aroma of this tropical lovely fruit.
(Fresh versions are a pain to eat due to the rough spiky skin)

Tiered Cake

The Cake Unit comes to an end, finishing off with our own individual Tiered Cake
I decided to make a natural waterfall, using icing and fondant to finish off.
Though I was rushed, the final product turned out to be fine.
I really love my waterfall.

Pavlova

We bought some fresh berries to serve with this "cake"
The lab after this was the Alaska Cake,
Which is a combination of Pavlova, Ice Cream, and More Cake

After February, we went on a field trip to buy Cheese!
I love cheese.
I love the taste, the smell, the texture, and how it mixes with other food when heated.
For this lab, we each chose a cheese and made grilled cheese sandwiches.
Most people voted the cheese I used as the most suitable cheese for Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.

Roasted Chicken

Brunch Final Test

Opps, Nearly forgot... Our final brunch lab was to each research a recipe that covered all food groups.

Me: Strawberry Cream Filled French Toast
Wendy: Yogurt Smoothie
Alex: Fruit Salad
Joon: Eggs Benedict

We went overtime a lot, but everything turned out fine.
The food was kinda cold but I'm sure it'd be great if it was just fresh out.

Christmas Cookies - 2

Day 2: Snowflake Cookies
I found a good chocolate chip recipe to work with, and created this Snowflake Cookie.
(Spent around 20 minutes cutting snowflakes was extremely fun but tiring)

After asking people how it taste, all of them really liked it. Would I make this again? Probably not.. The finalized dough was great to work with, but the whole kneading process took forever.

Due to grade 12 stress, and a bunch of other things happening, I have officially lost track of time. Here's an opportunity to go Back in Time!

After the Cook Off for the Biscuits, we made Rice Pilaf.
It looked great! Except we forgot to take out the salt from the recipe.
Note: Broth contains sodium, when using a recipe that requires broth, Salt can be omitted!
